SCREENPRINTING

Sunlight patterns is an ode to light. It’s about appreciating and playing with it, managing to adapt it to the necessities and sustainability requirement of a public space such as a library. The final result is four screen printed textile samples (made with the burn out technique) with different patterns which main purpose is to evoke an atmosphere related with nature and serenity, in order to create wellness to the user. The project is inspired in two main concepts: Komorebi (which in Japanese means sunlight that filters through the leaves of trees) and the Shadowplay that takes place in indoor spaces.
