Culinarities is a project based on photographic series about foreign people living in Barcelona, exploring topics related to the emotional ties between food and humans, as well as the phenomenon of cultural hybridation in our present society. Each of the eight chapters portrays four different topics around every person’s cooking habits, general life path and nostalgic memories, similarities and differences among food cultural practices and their life as a Barcelonian citizen.
The aim of this book is to inspire readers to pursue actions in cooking more, paying attention to it and getting into account the richness of it as regards cultural interests and enhancing relationships, as well as expanding horizons and creating bridges between cultures while strengthening tolerance.
